1. Download Billfish BPM Community Edition to your Windows, Linux or Apple computer.

2. At the end of the installation process, the installer defaults to automatically invoking the Billfish BPM Control Panel:

 

       

 

3. At the Control Panel, click the "Start Server" button to start the local BPM Server on your machine. You should see this when the server is started:

 

       

 

4. Next, click the "BPM Studio" button on the Control Panel to start the BPMN authoring tool.

5. Once the BPM Studio application has started, select File .. Open. At the file open dialog, open the sample process diagram supplied; CustomerCall.bpa:

 

       

 

6. Once you have the sample diagram (CustomerCall.bpa) open in BPM Studio, take a moment to look around. Double-click on any object to see it's editor. Invoke the editor for each of the task types to see the data, performers and scripts used by those tasks. For instance, double-click the "Resolve Call Overphone" task:

 

       

 

7. Now Deploy the diagram process to the local Billfish BPM Server and invoke the BPM Portal to run the process application by clicking the green "Deploy" button on the toolbar at the top:

 

       

 

8. When the BPM Portal appears, log in to it. The default user id is "root@localhost". The password is "pwd".

 

       

 

9. After logging in, click the "Processes" button to list available processes. You should see the just deployed process. Click the "Launch This Process" button at the bottom of the screen.

 

       

 

10. In your inbox you should see the first task. Click the "Open Form" button at the bottom of the screen.

       

 

11. Now you will see the first dynamically-created form.
